About Tabernacle Church of Norfolk

Tab Church exists to help the 1.7 million people in Hampton Roads to discover their story in the context of God’s global purpose by pushing through boundaries to share God’s story from Norfolk to the Nations!

Since it's conception in 1935 as a CMA church, Tab has had a heart for impacting Hampton Roads with the Gospel and has created numerous ministries and partnerships. Tab established a consortium of multiple churches in the area, founded Norfolk Christian Schools, NILD, UDM, Triple R Ranch and numerous other organizations to minister to children and families.

International and local missions have always been at our very core and hundreds of missionaries have been sent around the world. Tab pushes through boundaries by equipping each person to first know and grow in their relationship with Christ & then serve others through their spiritual gifts and resources.

Tab is a non-denominational Christian church and is not officially affiliated with any specific tradition or denomination, but shares many of the same doctrines and beliefs of the Baptist Church. We are an autonomous church, which separates us from the doctrine and customs of others and allows the Elders to pursue the specific calling of God for Tab Church and our community. We are in accountability with other churches in the Consortium, which is a loosely organized group of sister churches in Hampton Roads
