The Next Gen Director will be a driven leader providing vision, and influence to all age-based ministries from birth to 5th grade. The Director will also have oversight with the 6th-12th grade Student ministries in conjuction with Student leadership. The goal of this role is to create a consistency of approach, maximize the discipleship path and bring unity across age groups and families. This leader of leaders will be passionate about helping people connect to Southside’s mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Give overall leadership direction to Southside Kids and Student Ministries
- Development of Next Gen staff and other key volunteers (i.e. small groups leaders)
- Provide counseling for kids, students, and parents
- Develop and oversees policies and procedures for all of Next Gen ministries
- Manages and provides oversight of administrative needs and budgets across Next Gen ministries
- Development of training, systems, and programing for all of Next Gen
- Develop creative moments and events throughout the year to partner with parents
- Develop and oversee environments that encourage and empower families to win at home
- Keep up with current trends and culture (apply and change to Next Gen as needed)
- Preach or speak at Southside and other venues outside of the church
- Help develop a multisite mindset with Next Gen staff and volunteers
- Assist in the leadership of the Next Gen ministry/staff at other locations
- Create dialogue in small groups and one-on-one
- Think strategically & creatively; work collaboratively
- Naturally gather people and lead leaders
- Foster relationship with parents
- Provide leadership and coaching in partnership with Campus Pastors, where applicable, of each team member

- Must attend and support the doctrines of Southside Church.
Experience
- College degree or equivalent ministry experience with kids and/or students
- Proficiency in Google, Microsoft, and social media
- Exemplary oral and written skills
- Strong analytical skills
