Faith Church of Worcester, PA - Senior Pastor.
Faith Church of Worcester (getfaith.org) is in search of a new Senior Pastor. Located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia metro region, we are: Bible-centered, blended in worship style, and desiring to grow through engaging our community and equipping church members to fulfill the mission of reaching the lost and making disciples.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must qualify according to the biblical requirements of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9.
- A Master of Divinity (M. Div.) seminary degree, or equivalent, is preferred. However, ministry experience will also be taken into consideration.
- Candidate should have at least three years of full-time ministry experience, showing proficiency in preaching, teaching, leadership, managing and oversight.
- Candidate must have a Shepherd’s heart and a love for people of all ages, as well as a heart for missions
Functions & Responsibilities: The Senior Pastor’s responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:
- To teach, preach, and instruct the Word of God in worship services and at other times as needed. Will preach “all the counsel of God” (Acts 20:27-28; 2 Timothy 3:16-17) and will not avoid biblical topics over fear of reprisal or unpopularity.
- To hold to essential biblical doctrines, teaching them with accuracy and clarity.
- Must be an active “Soul-winner” and a proclaimer of the Gospel – speaking the truth in love while standing unashamedly on the Word of God.
- Will be the “Shepherd” of the church – defending the truths of the Scriptures, recognizing false doctrines and worldly influences that can infiltrate the local church.
Leadership:
- Will work alongside the Elders to ensure that the Church is functioning according to God’s Word regarding the New Testament Church. He will also be in alignment with Faith Church’s statement of faith, constitution and by-laws and assist in modifying or updating these items as needed to remain in alignment with God’s Word.
- Provides strategic vision for the Church (Proverbs 29:18) according to the Word of God.
- Will minister to the needs of the body through visits, prayer, counseling, and other similar services.
- Will be an “Ex-Official” on all committees and at all meetings when possible.
- Functions as the most visible leader and spokesman during interactions with the community and government agencies, or any other times when Faith Church representation is required.
- Will work alongside the Elders to practice church discipline according to biblical guidelines when necessary.
- Will oversee the observance of believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
- Will provide oversight of all weddings, funerals, and other special occasions.
