Youth Pastor Position at First Baptist Church (FBC)
Are you passionate about guiding the next generation in their spiritual journey? First Baptist Church is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Youth Pastor to lead our youth ministry. This role is open to both men and women who feel called to nurture the faith of our middle and high school students, creating a vibrant, welcoming environment where young people can grow in their relationship with Christ.
Your Mission: As our Youth Pastor, you will be at the heart of our mission to cultivate a thriving youth community. You’ll create spaces where students feel they belong, are excited to invite their friends, and are inspired to deepen their faith.
Key Responsibilities:
Spiritual Leadership:
- Deliver engaging, Biblically-sound teachings that resonate with our youth and help them navigate life’s challenges through the lens of faith.
- Oversee all youth-related activities, including weekly group meetings, small groups, and Sunday school, ensuring they align with our church’s mission.
Community Building:
- Foster a strong sense of community among our youth, encouraging meaningful relationships with each other and with God.
- Plan and lead events that bring families together, creating opportunities for fellowship and spiritual growth within the larger church body.
Leadership Development:
- Identify and nurture leadership potential in both students and adult volunteers, equipping them to take active roles in the ministry.
- Provide ongoing mentoring to youth leaders, supporting their spiritual and leadership growth.
Outreach and Evangelism:
- Inspire and equip our youth to share the love of Christ with their peers, guiding them in respectful and compassionate outreach.
- Collaborate with the broader church community on service projects and outreach events, including organizing and leading mission trips.
Qualifications:
- A committed Christian with a deep and growing faith, feeling a strong calling to youth ministry.
- Proven experience in youth ministry with a track record of growth and impactful leadership.
- A college degree and the willingness to seek ordination is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect deeply with youth, their families, and volunteers.
- Strong organizational abilities to plan and execute programs effectively.
- A collaborative and flexible spirit, eager to work, grow, and learn alongside church leadership and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
