Central Youth and Young Adults Pastor

The Ideal candidate:

• Passionate about seeing the next generation come to know Jesus and follow him.
• Must have basic skill in preaching and otherwise be able to communicate clearly and inspirationally.
• A humble and teachable individual that seeks to learn from leadership and grow personally.
• A team-centric leader that desires to empower others to be a part of the team and an even greater desire to support the larger vision of the Ministries department and Christian Faith Center as a whole.
• In tune with youth culture and models Christ-centered engagement with social media, relationships, and society.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working with middle school and high school students (grades 6th-12th).
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working with young adults aged 18-29.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in recruiting, developing, and leading teams required; church ministry context, preferred.
• A graduate of a ministry training program such as Berean School of the Bible, formal degree program, or other reputable ministry certificate program.
• Passionate about helping youth and young adults develop in their relationship with God and each other.
• Self-starter who takes initiative and is always improving. 
• Must be a punctual and clear communicator, with a solution-oriented focus. 
• Takes personal responsibility and is passionate for all aspects related to their role.
• Able to maintain a vibrant spiritual life, committed to Jesus.
• Committed to the vision, mission, and values, and to upholding the membership standards of Christian Faith Center.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Develop an effective strategy and philosophy of ministry at all Christian Faith Center locations; implementing the vision and mission of the church to the youth, their parents, and the young adults.
  • Oversee the weekly services for Youth Ministry.
  • Build a vibrant Young Adults Ministry through small groups and events.
• Attend staff, planning, and leadership meetings as advised by Executive Ministries Pastor
• Recruit and train Dream Team leaders to serve in the Youth and Young Adult services.
• Manage a PCO schedule for Youth and Young Adult Dream Team leaders every Sunday, Wednesday, and other various CFC services and events.
• Create an environment where Youth and young adults can grow spiritually.?
  • Offering a meaningful time of worship.
  • Teach an age and spiritually appropriate Bible lesson or sermon.
  • Offer activities to encourage relational connection.?
• Work with Central Operations team to develop, post, and enforce Finance/Minor standards and policies.
• Manage communication with Youth and Young Adult Dream Team leaders, Youth, and parents.?
• Provide vision, leadership, training, and inspiration to all CFC locations and their Youth and Young Adult & Middle School Coordinators.
• Oversee CFC’s camp and conference strategy for Youth and Young Adults.
• Partner with the CFC College Director to recruit and pipeline young leaders into CFC College.
• Sustain a healthy spiritual life that positively influences those under their guidance and adheres faithfully to the membership standards of Christian Faith Center.
