Next Gen Pastors

The Lighthouse Church is looking to fill two positions to serve as our Next Gen Pastors.

The ideal candidates would be a married couple who feel a calling to pastor both youth and kids. The candidates should be able to have a healthy blend of ministry and personal life and work together with a team approach to see the Next Gen ministry succeed.

One position is a full-time paid position with benefits and the other a part-time paid position.

We are a church in the Southwest Dallas area commonly known as Oak Cliff. We have an excellent relationship with our local schools that will give plenty of opportunities for ministry outside the four walls. If you're looking for a place to dream, we may be a good fit for you.

The Lighthouse family is a multi-generational and diverse church with a vision to “Love God, Grow Together, Serve Others and Extend our Reach.” We are 84 years old providing much needed stability, but our leadership is young, providing vital flexibility and creativity.

Qualifications:

• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.

• Must pass a background check

• Consistent spiritual and moral character and a lifestyle in line with Biblical values.

• A calling to see kids and teens give their all to the Lord and lead a team of youth and kids leaders.

• Experience in full and or part-time time youth and kids ministries

• Agreement with A/G 16 Fundamental Truths and position papers

• Team player and work with and support other staff and ministries

• Certified, Licensed or Ordained. Credentials with A/G a big plus, but not required

• Bilingual in English and Spanish a big plus, but not required

• Possess good communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal

• Possess good organizational skills

• Possess good financial management skills

• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed

• Willing to grow in the many ministry opportunities given

Responsibilities/Oversight:

• Ministry to ages Newborn to 12th grade

• Build and pastor teams for both youth and kids ministry

• Wednesday youth services and kids classes

• Youth home groups

• Sunday morning growth groups

• Youth and kids camps, retreats and conventions

• Fine Arts

• Monthly/Quarterly events

• Participate in other pastoral duties weekly and as necessary

• Involvement in Easter and fall outreach events

• Encourage missions giving to Speed the Light and BGMC

• Involvement with preschool and charter school on our campus

• Involvement with local schools in the community

• Involvement with parachurch ministries such as FCA, Youth Alive and others.

• Community outreach involvement/leadership

• Other ministry opportunities according to giftings.

• Willingness to serve and support all other ministries inside and outside the church.
