Do you have a passion for worshipping God and for leading others into the same? A Worship Pastor leans on the Holy Spirit to guide and direct them as they plan, prepare, and lead weekend services and special events. The Worship Pastor also feels called to lead others in the Worship ministry to help them grow and develop their talents and hearts toward their Savior.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead Weekend Service Development
Lead in the creation of creative weekly services that are relevant to the target culture, demographic, and community. This includes song selection, creative direction, and all experiential elements of every service (stage design, audio, video, lighting, etc.).
Volunteer and Team Development
Recruit, develop, and oversee the Worship Ministry – growing volunteers in their understanding of worship and their musical abilities, while also empowering them to use those abilities to serve our church body. This includes building the community of Saddleback Worship at the campus and providing coaching and direction for worship teams leading in other campus ministries.
Ministry Oversight & Support
Under the leadership of the Campus Lead Pastor, the Worship Pastor will provide daily coaching, support, care, and supervision of platform and production staff at the campus.
Partner with Central Team and other Saddleback Teams
Keep open lines of communication with events and team updates happening across Saddleback Church and Saddleback Worship. Speak into Global Saddleback Worship processes.
Administrative Tasks
Participate in team staff meetings and all Saddleback staff meetings. Input order of worship and song selection on a weekly basis. Manage all invoices for musicians and organize weekly rehearsals for weekend services. Manage the overall worship budget for the campus.
WHAT WE OFFER
Saddleback Church’s pay philosophy is based on internal and external data for pay equity, along with budgetary considerations for effective stewardship. Starting pay for this position is expected to be $67,000 per year. A wage posted is not a guarantee of a specific wage for a job offer.
Saddleback Church is both an equal-opportunity employer and a faith-based religious organization. We conduct hiring without regard to race, ethnicity, national origin, citizenship, age, sex, marital status, membership in any labor organization, political ideology, or disability of an otherwise qualified individual. The status of Saddleback Church as an equal opportunity employer does not prevent us from hiring staff based on their religious beliefs so that all employees share the same religious commitment which is central to our mission.
