About the Church
Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church sits in the heart of Basking Ridge, New Jersey - a historic small town that feels like home. This warm, welcoming, dynamic congregation exists to encounter the transforming power of God, and then go and love God and neighbor more deeply and more wholeheartedly.
About the Ministry
Currently, there are 40-50 youth, grades 6th-12th, who engage regularly. Each Sunday sees around 12-18 participate in either Sunday morning Sunday school or Sunday evening youth group. The ministry is currently led by a team of adult volunteers, and there is a youth and young adult council that assists in overseeing the ministry. Stakeholders of the ministry describe it as “accepting,” “fun,” and “rejuvenating.”
Ideal Candidate
The leader who steps into this Director role will thrive if they value a team approach to discipleship and have a heart to walk with 6th-12th grade students, helping them understand what it means to live out their faith in their day-to-day lives.
Key Responsibilities
The primary expectation is that the Director would live out their own Christian faith, and lead this ministry in such a way, that it nurtures the faith of young people and increases their knowledge and love of God.
This will be accomplished by working with and developing a team, intentionally supporting parents and families, empowering students to lead, serve, and connect with each other and the larger church, and by embracing the four pillars of the youth and young adult ministry:

Annual Salary $55000-$65000
