Student Ministries & Worship

Shalom Life Church began nearly 50 years ago.  Over the last 3 years, we've undergone an intense process of revitalization. In December of 2021, just shy of 70 people were gathering regularly and today that number is well over 200 with guests visiting every week.  This place is growing, engaging the community in new and fresh ways, and there is tremendous excitement for the future. The leadership culture is healthy and now we're now building a team to bring Shalom into the future - a really bright and hope-filled future.

Are you collaborative and enjoy empowering others?  You'll join a growing team that really loves God and cares about each other. We are a church that loves generously, that believes that a life-giving encounter with Jesus, the movement of the Holy Spirit, and community with others is essential to living a full life.  We also know that no one is perfect - in our church this is reflected from the top down.  We're all humbly seeking God, growing together, and extending a tremendous amount of grace in the process. We value emotional health and a healthy church culture that begins with our staff and leadership teams. Right now, we very much feel like a new church - a church plant with a building, people, and resources.  Everything is new and being rebuilt from the ground up.  

We're looking for someone who works hard. Church planting staffers know that it's hard work but you work hard, you play hard, and you bond as a team working toward accomplishing our mission - ours is simple - we're all about helping people love God, love others, and serve the world. We're looking for someone who will bring focus and leadership to their area of ministry.  Ideally, we'd  love someone who could give direct leadership to Student Ministries and Modern Worship but will collaborate with a great lead team in setting direction and pace alongside the lead pastor.  We're also looking for someone who's willing to help out where they're needed.  If you've ever used these words: "That's not my job," please move on, we wish you well.  Here's something we value: What if at the end of every year you weren't evaluated solely on performance or outcomes?  What if you were evaluated on who you developed, who you empowered? And what if our investment in you was less about what you're doing than it is about who you're becoming?
