We are looking for a person that has a passion to see the next generation reached for Christ! Our next Nolensville Kids Director should have experience in kids ministry and be energized by equipping volunteers, investing in parents to be the primary spiritual leaders in their homes, and creating engaging programming for birth through elementary school. If that’s you and you have experience in leading these areas in a growing ministry context, we’d love to talk. Experience in a multi-site church is a bonus, as well.

 

OBJECTIVE

The Kids Director is responsible for the development and implementation of the vision, strategy, and tactical elements for all programs, activities, and educational aspects related to the Kids Ministry at Rolling Hills Community Church, Nolensville Campus.

EXPECTATIONS

- Be a servant leader to his or her staff and teams of volunteers, the families and the overall church body.

- Grow personally in their own leadership and ministerial abilities by reading, attending conferences and having godly and professional mentors in their life.

- Be involved in the overall life of the church body by being a partner/member, actively participating in a community group, church-wide events, and functions.

- Be an excited and contributing member of the RHCC staff team.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee all programming and ministry for children from birth to fifth grade, including Sunday mornings, summer programming, and other special events.

- Ensure that appropriate safety and security procedures are established and followed including volunteer applications and interviews, criminal background checks on all volunteers, and regular training on abuse awareness, hygiene practices, and safety and security practices.

- Develop and oversee the preschool/kids ministry budget.

- Recruit, train, schedule, and lead volunteers. 

- Lead CORE [volunteer] teams to implement Sunday morning ministry in worship and discipleship environments.

- Prepare curriculum for programming, keeping with the Rolling Hills Family Ministry Strategy and Orange curriculum licensing.

- Work with Nolensville Office  Administrator to prepare and gather weekly Preschool/Kids supplies for Sunday morning worship and small groups.

- Coordinate childcare for special, scheduled events.

- Attend and participate in regular Family Ministry Team and Nolensville Campus Team meetings.

- Attend and participate in monthly All-Staff meetings.

- Develop and support a ministry that teaches kids the basic truths about God, laying a firm foundation for those children to accept Christ as their Savior.

- Implement Mile Marker strategy, classes, and events for kids and families at the Nolensville Campus. These include Family Dedication, Baptism, specific age and stage transition years, etc.

- Work with the Family Ministry Team in planning and implementing community outreach events including, but not limited to, VBS and other seasonal outreach opportunities. 

- Minister to children and their families, caring for them personally and spiritually.

- Follow up with first-time guests and families that have missed several weeks when needed
