Job Description:

St. John’s is prayerfully seeking a full-time pastor who is called by God and equipped to effectively preach and teach the Word of God. Our pastor of 11 years retired in November 2022, and we are fortunate to be led by a dynamic bridging pastor as we conduct our pastoral search.

St. John’s is a community-focused church that currently offers a traditional service. According to a recently completed survey of the congregation, people attend our church because of their relationship with God, to become better people, and to be a part of the community. Thoughtful sermons, inspirational music, and a welcoming atmosphere are important components of Sunday services.

During this time of transition, the Consistory is diligently working to maintain and grow itself and the church teams. We are excited about the future of our church and the opportunity to proclaim God’s Word, strengthen our witness, and demonstrate our compassion and concern for others.

St. John’s is seeking a leader who can act as a pastor, counselor, teacher, visionary, and preacher. Visitation, involvement in the community, focus on growth of the church, and collaboration with Elderlife (an on-property community for seniors 55 and older) and the on-campus Nurturing Center (preschool and childcare) are essential.

If you are looking for a new pastoral leadership role and would like additional information, please contact us at your earliest convenience. Our kind, welcoming, active church looks forward to hearing from you.
