Children's Pastor (Director)

OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a dynamic children’s ministry pastor (or director) who can join our team here at Summit Church and lead young students into a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.  As a church who is passionate about the Great Commission; we see children’s ministry as the best doorway to reaching families who are far from God.

This is a full-time position with competitive compensation starting at $50,000. (offer increases depending on education and experience)

We are also highly open to considering a family pastor, who would oversee all of our next gen ministry from nursery through high school.

Summit Church is a vibrant and growing community of faith, just 10 minutes away from the magnificent Bighorn Mountains in adventurous Wyoming.  Summit ministers to over 500 every Sunday, with a robust online community, and a satellite campus in Kaycee. We have a healthy church culture unified around the vision of reaching the lost.   

QUALIFICATIONS:

• An active and advancing personal faith in Jesus Christ.
• A passion and calling to introduce the next generation to our Savior.
• A dedication to excellence and an aptitude for creativity. 
• A teachable heart: ready to learn, improve, and grow.
• Dynamic skills in communication and leadership.
• Competency in computers, technology, and current software.
• Prior children’s ministry experience required.
• Undergraduate degree or better preferred.
• Ministry credentialing preferred (but not necessary to apply).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide vision and oversight to the Children’s Ministry of Summit Church.
• Lead Basecamp, our Sunday morning kid’s church averaging over 75 kids.
• Lead The Hunt, our Wednesday night kid’s program averaging over 100 kids.
• Plan and execute special events, VBS, kid’s camp, etc. 
• Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers.
• Assist in other pastoral ministry duties as required.
