Mens Pastor (Granite Bay Campus)

Men's Ministry Pastor

This role exists to build a thriving ministry for men of all life stages at our Granite Bay location. He will also be part of the Granite Bay leadership team which influences the overall vision, health and growth of the campus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Build a comprehensive Men’s Ministry

• Implement the life-stage-based men’s ministry vision
• Develop the core leadership team for each stage
• Produce measurable growth and actionable plans for sustaining that growth
• Cultivate healthy teams and develop a core leadership team
• Establish thriving men’s ministry small groups
• Be a resource to other Bayside campuses in the implementation and growth of their campus-based Men’s ministries

2. Work with Senior Leadership to establish and achieve growth goals

• Evaluate and report on all current Men’s ministry activities for green light (grow it), yellow light (edit it) and red light (dismantle it)
• Partner with Adult ministry and GB leadership team to set and report ministry progress and development

3. Oversee Men’s Ministry specific small groups

• Partner with Bayside Groups ministry to recruit small group leaders
• Provide training and care for small group leaders aligned with Bayside Groups strategy and values

4. Organize/oversee gatherings

• Develop weekly and monthly connection/growth opportunities for each life stage
• Host focused, large group gatherings 2-4 times annually (500-2,500 men in attendance)
• Support/influence the development of a regional men’s conference in conjunction with the Thrive Conferences team
• Assess and implement events, based on felt needs

 5. Teach relevant content

• Translate biblical concepts into a modern, applicable context to be taught both in person and in digital formats
• Develop digital based content specific to men to be used in small and medium sized gatherings

 6. Counsel and shepherd Men in conjunction with Pastoral Care and Counseling departments

• Partner with Care ministries to ensure men are properly resourced with counseling needs
• Equip volunteer leaders to shepherd men with sound biblical direction
