POSITION OVERVIEW

The Family Ministry Assistant serves in the day-to-day operation of the Family Ministries, Preschool Ministry, and other administrative roles. This is a full time salaried position with competitive pay and benefits.

MINISTRY ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist with planning events, keeping event checklists, communicating information, maintaining supplies, purchasing necessary items, maintaining background checks and other important documents.
  2. Learn and become proficient with the FBFirst database and its various ministry related uses.
  3. Be proactive with keeping the ministry organized, on track, and planning ahead 
  4. Attend all weekly, monthly and event planning meetings as directed 
  5. Perform other job related duties as assigned
  6. Assist the Family Ministry with the overseeing and organizing of the Preschool Ministry.
  7. Professionally enhance ministry atmospheres and facilitate ministry programming
  8. Actively pursue personal relationships with volunteers, supporting ministries, and FBFirst staff
  9. Assist the Family Ministry with developing and implementing a strategy for recruiting, training, appreciating, and maintaining volunteers.
  10. Forecast vision, maintain security systems, communicate with families, volunteers, and staff.

  1. A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him
  2. A heart for the spiritual formation of those in the congregation
  3. Commitment to the mission, vision, and ministry philosophy of FBFirst
  4. High level of detail orientation
  5. Effective Communication skills
  6. Organizational ability
  7. Scheduling Skills
  8. Knowledge or willingness to learn all computer, software, sound, and lighting systems necessary to perform ministry tasks.
  9. Data Entry Skills
  10. Meeting Planning
