Job Description:

Job Summary: This paid position requires the staff member to devote 30-40 hours per week working with the Worship Team to lead worship environments.

Job Duties:

  • Organize and lead Sunday Services (9:30 /11:00)

  • First Wednesday Services. Similar to Sunday mornings but only takes place on the First Wednesday of each month. The focus of this service is to equip followers of Christ who call the Well Church their home, to discover and live out their calling.

  • Lead worship for Special Events for the Student Ministry.
  • Organize and lead rehearsals for the worship team.
  • Attend staff meetings, church events, and build relationships in the community.

Working Relationships:

  • Responsible to: Senior Pastor
  • Works closely with: Worship Band; Audio/Visual Team; Student Pastor

Skills

  • Experience in worship leading / worship band
  • Experience playing keys or acoustic
  • Able to read music or chord charts.
  • Able to assist in leading rehearsals.
  • Familiar with Planning Center, Tracks, ProPresenter 7, Google Suite

Time Required:

  • 30-40 hours per week

About The Well Church

The Well Church was planted in 2018. We started with a lauch team of 30 people and over the course of 4 years the church has grown to over 400 in weekly worship attendance. Our purpose statement for the church is to Help People Find and Follow God. We have a strong emphasis on providing seeker friending services on the weekend (9:30 | 11:00). We also focus on helping our people find a small group to attend in the Fall and Spring Semester, along with getting our people plugged into First Saturday Serve Days where we are working in our community. Most recently was have added at First Wednesday worship event that is more for equipping, ministering, and caring for our church family. We have a very active Well Kids Ministry that meets on Sundays and a very engaging Middle and High School Ministry that meets weekly on Wednesdays. 

Lexington is a town of 15,000 people and is located in Henderson County which encompasses a population of 30,000. It is a great place to raise a family and it's home to many outdoor lakes and is just minutes from the Tennessee River. Henderson County has been one of the top school districts in Tennessee for the last several years and has great athletic teams and various extracurricular activities for students. This portion of West Tennessee is very beautiful and it's a great place to start or raise a family. Lexington is appromimately 25 minutes from Jackson TN, 1 Hour and 15 minutes from Memphis, and 1 Hour and 30 minutes from Nashville.
