Church Information

Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Elkton is part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church denomination (epc.org).  We are an evangelical and reformed denomination that seeks to carry out the Great Commandment and Great Commission.

Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Elkton is located in Elkton, Va., a small town in the Shenandoah Valley at the foot of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.  Elkton has that “small-town” feel where people know one another and family values and traditions run deep.

EPC Elkton is a growing church with an average Sunday attendance of about 160 people.  Currently, we have two Sunday morning services (8:30 and 11:00 a.m.) with Sunday school in between (9:45 a.m.).  About 30% of our church is under 18 years of age which results in some great kid/youth ministry opportunities.  We also have a number of young adults connected to our church family, and we have a desire to help them continue growing in their faith.

The mission of EPC Elkton is the same as every other church— to carry out the Great Commandment and the Great Commission for the glory of God.  We do this through our vision of growing faith, strengthening the family, and serving the community.

Job Description

The Next Generation Ministry Director position offers an exciting opportunity to use ones ministry gifts for God’s glory.  The position will aid EPCE in fulfilling our vision of growing faith, strengthening the family, and serving the community by helping our children, youth, and young adults develop their relationship with Christ and His church.  This position will partner with parents to provide leadership and development for next generation ministries of EPC Elkton.

EPC Elkton has a mix of home school, private/Christian school, and public-school youth which provides exciting opportunities for faith development and Christian growth.  We have had high parental involvement in our youth ministries, and this is a value we want to continue.

The Next Gen Ministry Director will assist in leading our elementary/middle/high school ministries, Vacation Bible School, Junior church ministry, and help develop a young adult ministry.  Part of this job also involves being present in the community at various events at which our students participate (athletics, musicals, etc.).
