Children's Pastor

Calvary Chapel 14:6 is growing and we need more Pastors to serve God's people! We are looking for a dynamic full-time Children's Pastor to serve the children of our 1,200 weekend attendance church (four services).

• Energetic, patient, loving, and kind, representing Christ to all.
• A role model in the areas of faith, integrity, personal discipline, discipleship, and evangelism.
• Passionate and strategic about sharing Jesus with students and families who are either far from God or on a journey with God.
• Able to inspire students to engage their community with the intention of reaching the lost.
• A champion and cheerleader for adult volunteers serving in the ministry.
• As a Pastor, support, communicate, and contribute to the leadership’s vision for Calvary Chapel FourteenSix.

WHAT YOU OFFER:

• Energetic leadership for children from birth to 6th grades.
• The ability to develop leadership teams for children's services, using the areas of worship, video, tech, preaching, and calls to action.
• Understand the trends in social media, phrases that are being used, and trends that may be harmful to the next generation.
• Organize ministry teams to help run various activities and events.
• Oversee weekend children's services (a team of staff) that include live worship and engaging bible-based messages.
• Organize giving opportunities to introduce the concept of foreign missions.
• Provide regular communication to parents regarding their student’s spiritual growth.

WHAT WE EXPECT:

• This is a full-time pastoral position.
• This position requires a strong leader who is responsibile for the primary evangelistic efforts of the church.
• Manage and oversee the children's annual budget.
• Develop and implement fundraising ideas and events to support the ministries.
• Be organized and communicative with the staff regarding calendar events.
• Your direct supervisor is the Executive Pastor.

TRANSITION:

• Within 4-weeks of accepting the position, you will transition your family to Surprize AZ and assume leadership of the ministry.
• Within the first 90-days of your tenure the primary goal will be to develop personal relationships with the staff and volunteers.
• Between the 3-6 months, you will assume the full responsibilities of teaching and leading three children's services (Sat. @ 6:00 pm, Sun. @ 9:30, 11:15 ).
• During months 6-9 you will begin standing up a mid-week service for children during the adult midweek Bible Survey (Wed. @ 6:00 pm).
• In the final three months, the candidate will have oversite of all children's Ministries.
• An annual review is completed for every pastor on staff.

YOUR EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• We are looking for a Pastor who has prior full-time Children's Pastor experience.
• We define 'prior experience' as an individual who has been employed full-time by a church as a Children's Pastor for multiple years.
• Any formal education (accredited Bachelor's degree) in the area of discipleship, ministry, theology, or ministry.
• Prior experience leading a Children's or Youth Ministry at a large church for more than 7 years places your resume at the top!

THE COMPENSATION:

Starting Base Salary: $80,000+
(depending on experience)
