POSITION TITLE: Middle School Ministry Director

SUPERVISOR: Family Ministry Director
TIME COMMITMENT: Full Time, 40 hours a week
Help students and parents from 5th grade through 8th grade build their lives on the reality of Jesus living out our values: Pursue God, Build Community, and Live Generously.
LEADERSHIP ROLES:
- Lead all Middle School Ministry & programming.
- Recruit, equip, and deploy volunteers assisting in the development and growth of tMiddle School students & the ministry.
- Build relationships with students, parents, and volunteers inside and outside of the Church.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead Middle School Ministry
- Develop and implement a discipleship path for students from 5th grade through 8th grade.
- Discern and develop appropriate curriculum and messages for large group student gatherings and Bible studies.
- Coordinate Middle School Ministry programming including Next Gen Nights, Sunday morning programming, events, missions, camps and retreats.
- Establish a Student Leadership Team that advises and participates in the weekly Middle School Ministry gatherings.
- Set OKR’s for the Middle School Ministry and evaluate faithfulness to them quarterly.
- Adhere to and keep Middle School Ministry in compliance with Safe Environment policy.
- Propose and manage budget for Middle School Ministry including budget planning, purchasing, receipts, and submitting related paperwork.
- Create one large group event for Middle School Ministry & one large group event for Route 56 that attracts students from all over the community.
- Volunteers
- Disciples the leaders pouring into the Middle School students. Invest in those investing in the students. This is a key focus area of the ministry.
- Create a recruiting process for Middle School Ministry that invites the larger Church to fulfill its call to raise students in Christ and point them toward spiritual maturity.
- Offer regular training opportunities for volunteers as they grow in their love for the ministry and impact on students and families.
- Develop a system thanking and encouraging volunteers.
- Build Relationships
- Build relationships with parents and leaders by having breakfast, lunch, dinner, and coffee.
- Reach out and welcome new families who have kids in Middle School.
- Offer training events & workshops that equip parents to talk with their students about Christ and to disciple their children at home.
- Point parents to online resources that equip them to disciple their kids through the weekly newsletter or other creative ways.
- Spend time with small group leaders and students on campus, at games, and other local events.
Sills & Abilities:
- Commitment to the gospel & scriptural holiness.
- Very personable and loves students.
- Can recruit, train and motivate volunteers.
- Can disciple adult volunteers. People view this person as a peer.
- Ability to confront parents in a loving, healthy and supportive way.
- Seeks what’s best for the entire team above themselves.
