Community Bible Church is a non-denominational church represented by people from many different churches and people with no church background. Currently, more than 200 families are active members of Community Bible, with over 300 people weekly attending Sunday services and Sunday School. Our doors are open to anyone honestly seeking to have a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and anyone with such a relationship who seeks to be equipped to serve Him in a spirit of unity.
Centrally located in the beautiful state of South Dakota, the city of Pierre is situated in the rolling hills of the Missouri River and halfway between the famous Black Hills and the city of Sioux Falls. The neighboring communities of Pierre & Fort Pierre have a year-round population of about 17,000 people; however, the population seasonally swells when the South Dakota Congress is in session and with various hunting seasons. The primary industries of the area are linked to state government, medical services, agriculture, and tourism. Due to its prominence as the South Dakota State Capitol and as a regional resourcing city, Pierre offers a surprising abundance of amenities, services, and recreational opportunities. In all, Pierre services a broader region of approximately 25,000 people, of which 5,400 (21.6%) are completely disconnected from any church.
We are praying for an experienced and elder-qualified man of God, with a heart for developing the next generation of Christ-centered leaders, to serve as Community Bible Church’s Associate Pastor. This pastor will champion CBC's Family Ministries by developing volunteer teams and parents for biblically developing youth from kindergarten through high school. Other ministry responsibilities will include scheduled preaching, volunteer development, teaching in various contexts, shepherding, evangelizing, community outreach, and serving as a non-voting elder. The ideal candidate will have adequate pastoral training, local church experience, a clear ministry calling, and a cultural fit to flourish in this vital ministry.
