Calvary is prayerfully seeking a Student Pastor to fulfill the purpose and mission of the church by providing leadership, oversight, and ministry to our Students (grades 6-12) and their families. The Student Pastor will need to function as a team member
of the church staff by assuming all spiritual, fiscal, and administrative roles and responsibilities. Ultimately, the aim is to lead students to Jesus and a deeper walk with Him along with fulfilling pastoral roles with the same aim toward the church body.
The Student Ministry currently has 50+ students on a weekly basis along with 30+ volunteers. It is a Big Group/Small Group-Based ministry that has 7 area schools represented. It comes with a 4,000-square-foot facility across the road from the main facilities
that serve as the Student Center. The Student Center includes 8 breakout rooms, a worship area with seating for 100, and a kitchen with seating and a hang-out area.
Calvary believes in Student Ministry and is focused on reaching this demographic along with their families. The support is financially, spiritually, encouragement, volunteering, and serving.

Student Pastor Role
Leadership
- Provide leadership for our Calvary family in fulfilling the overall purpose and mission to
Glorify God and Minister in Love.
- Provide leadership in the development/renewal/assessment of the vision and effectiveness of the Student Ministry.
- Provide leadership and oversight in the following areas of Student Ministry (6th-12th Grade):
- Sunday Morning Bible Study (Currently Big Group/Small Group based)
- Facilitate Mid-Week (Worship & Worship Team, Delivering God’s Work, Facilitate Small Groups)
- Special Events (Camps, D-Now, Mission Trips, etc.)
- All other student activities (providing supervision and safety)
- Provide leadership in problem-solving within Calvary Student Ministry.
- Provide leadership in growing students and allowing them to
assume responsibilities within Calvary Student Ministry.
- Provide leadership in assisting both students and volunteers in finding their place of ministry.
Development
- Develop and review all curriculum pertaining to Student Ministry. This includes working with the Education Pastor.
- Develop and maintain Gospel-Related/Ministry-Related relationships with the following:
- Volunteers and Small Groups (Recruitment, Training, Support, and Encouragement)
- ALL students that enter Calvary Student Ministry
- Parents of ALL students that enter Calvary Student Ministry
- Area school districts
- Area church congregations/student ministries
- The community and outside world (1 Timothy 3:7)
Discipleship
- Disciple own personal life (personal, marriage, family).
- Disciple ALL students that enter Calvary Student Ministry.
- Disciple families of ALL students that enter Calvary Student Ministry.
- Disciple others in our Calvary family as needed or opportunities arise.

Calvary Pastor Role
- Function as a team member with the entire Calvary pastoral/staff including encouraging and supporting all other ministries and special emphasis of all ministries.
- Plan and coordinate worship services with the pastoral team.
- Attend all worship services and special events in all ministry areas when needed.
- Coordinate with all appropriate committees, ministries, and Administrative Pastor for scheduling facilities and transportation.
- Assist the Lead Pastor in providing pastoral needs of the congregation and all other responsibilities as determined by the Lead Pastor.
Fiscal Role
- Appropriately plan and implement a God-honoring budget to facilitate Calvary Student Ministry.
- Recommend to the Finance Committee the appropriate financial support.
- Assist the Finance Committee by sharing information concerning fiscal needs.
Spiritual Role
Personal Responsibilities
- Plan and implement a personal spiritual growth plan that provides time for prayer, personal Bible Study, and personal growth.
- Live a life that reflects the glory of God, His Word, and devotion to Him. Live out a Gospel life found in the entirety of Scripture and a pastoral life found in passages such as 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
Corporate Responsibilities
- Exhibit a godly example and be a spiritual leader for our Calvary family.
- Be an example of appropriate worship for others.
