Worship Director The Grace Place Church
The Worship Director is responsible for cultivating a hunger for worship in our church and leading the weekend worship experience. This person is responsible to identify and develop leaders to assist with worship ministry. This position coordinates and
oversees the worship team members. The Worship Director reports to the Senior Pastor.
Preferred Experience and Education:
- College degree in ministry-related area.
- 1+ years of experience in leading and developing worship teams at a church of 400+.
- Mac user with knowledge of ProPresenter and Ableton Live.

- Skilled Musician: Strong vocal skills and sufficient instrumental proficiency to effectively lead rehearsals.

- Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to use and develop fine motor skills. The employee must be able to walk up and down stairs. The employee must be able
to lift up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include both close and distance vision.
Worship Responsibilities:
- Create the service plan for all services.
- Select new music to incorporate into worship services (current selections include Elevation, Bethel, Hillsong, etc.)
- Build strong worship teams by recruiting, training, and developing worship leaders, musicians and vocalists.
- Keep Planning Center updated with weekly service plans and Worship Arts volunteer schedules.
- Prepare worship slides for the weekend services.
- Lead weekly worship team rehearsal on Thursday evening.
- Prepare worship plan and help lead worship at Celebrate Recovery each Tuesday evening.
- Plan special services 6-8 weeks in advance (Christmas Eve, Easter, Good Friday).
- Build and lead a worship choir to sing for special occasions.
- Meet regularly with all worship leaders for encouragement, instruction, and evaluation.
- Lead weekly service planning meetings and monthly series planning meetings.
- Oversee the musical component of any special concerts or events.
- Oversee the Worship budget.
- Maintain all necessary licensing for worship and worship-related resources.
- Make sure pastor has props/special items and all team members have what they need for their area of service (water, batteries, etc.)
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Monthly one-on-one meetings with Senior Pastor
- Prepare quarterly action plan.
- Attend a worship arts conference annually
- Other duties as assigned.
