Chapel in the Pines of Twain Harte, California is looking for a full-time Assistant Pastor whose primary focus will be Worship Ministry. This is an awesome opportunity for someone with a talent for leading worship and a pastor’s heart to facilitate ministry in an incredible place. Chapel is located in the desirable beauty of the Sierra Foothills. Our growing church family has become known for engaging teaching, awesome worship with an appreciation for charismatic expression, and building great relationships. We want to see lives changed as people encounter the love, truth, and power of God.
This is a full-time Assistant Pastor position. Our Assistant Pastor will spend half of his /her time leading Chapel’s worship ministry and half of his/her time facilitating ministry in other areas of giftedness outside of worship.
Worship: The right candidate will have demonstrated ability to lead a congregation in worship, to develop worship leaders and teams and a passion for providing an engaging worship experience. He/she will enjoy the gathered and collective experience of being God’s Church; he/she will be responsive to the Spirit’s leading; and will value the role of shepherding and developing a worship team.

The right Assistant Pastor for Chapel will have a vibrant relationship with God, a healthy spiritual maturity, and a demonstrated anointing. He or she will be excited to help lead the church into a new season of healthy growth with our dynamic lead pastor.
Qualified candidates must have experience leading worship, leading a worship ministry, and developing worship leaders. Prior experience working on a church staff and a Bible or ministry related degree are preferred.

About the Church:
Chapel in the Pines is a non-denominational church, nestled in the beautiful small town of Twain Harte, California – located in the Sierra foothills. The multigenerational congregation displays a great spectrum of young families to senior adults. Engaging Bible teaching, authentic vibrant worship, and strong community have been core values of this charismatic congregation. The people of Chapel in the Pines come from a variety of denominational backgrounds and Christian experiences, but tend to lean toward the more charismatic side of things. There is a strong tradition of church involvement among the laity at Chapel in the Pines and congregational involvement is higher than the average church, with willing servants who love to see God at work.
Financially, the church is in good standing with funds to invest in new ministry efforts. While in the past, the church has swelled in some seasons of ministry to several hundreds, Chapel in the Pines has experienced some decline in the last couple years. Current Sunday attendance runs about 140 and is growing.
A new Lead Pastor began his tenure in June, 2022, and now we are looking to fill our next key role with an Associate Pastor who would invest about half of his or her time leading our Worship Ministry, and the other half helping to pastor the church in ways that are a fit for his or her interests, gifting, and abilities.
