General Description
The Director of High School Ministries leads and sustains a biblically grounded, Christ-centered ministry that reaches 9th-12th grade students in our community in order to help them to find belonging in our community of faith, embrace the gospel, and live for Christ. We're a strong church with a long history of thriving youth ministry. We're looking for someone who will bring a passionate faith and engaging dynamic to join our team!
Specific Responsibilities

Creating and implementing weekly programs that engage students, build community, and nurture spiritual growth

Overseeing and leading high school camps, retreats, and mission trips

Recruiting, training, motivating, and building up a cohesive team of adult volunteers, especially in their role as small group leaders

Supporting other leaders serving in this ministry area, including a high school program coordinator or interns when available

Cultivating a network of support among parents and families through effective communication

Integrating students into the life of the larger church and fostering intergenerational connections

Planning curriculum and presenting relevant, age-appropriate biblical messages

Adhering to CPC’s personnel guidelines

Managing the calendar of events and the budget for the ministry

Connecting with students and families relationally for support and spiritual encouragement

Meeting with other staff and leaders for ongoing encouragement and guidance

Attending and supporting department meetings, training events, church staff meetings

Maintaining effective communications with students, leaders, and parents and help promote the visibility of your ministry to the congregation

Pursuing personal growth, spiritually and professionally

Working collaboratively with other departments of the church and investing in strong working relationships

Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Visible love for Christ and students and a life of active discipleship

Strong leadership with two to five years of ministry experience

Well-developed theology consistent with that of CPC
-
Effective communication and teaching
-
Strong inclination toward team collaboration

Creativity and problem solving skills

Optimism, sense of humor, and humble confidence

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Salary range: $60,000-$73,000
