Associate Pastor/Director of Worship and Music

Description:

            The role of Associate Pastor/Director of Music and Worship will oversee the planning of the Sunday Worship Services and any other special services the church might hold. They will work in conjunction with the Lead Pastor to construct a time that facilitates growth in people’s spiritual lives.

Responsibilities:

Worship Service

• Oversee the planning and execution of weekly Sunday Services
• Work to see growth in the attendees of FBC Manchester
• Create a service that is welcoming to all people
• Help introduce new songs that begin to transition FBC into a more blended order of service
• Pray for the people who are to attend that they will grow closer to God during the service
• Work with the sound and audio team to continue to progress their skills

Choir

• Work with the Choir to plan out different songs that will help with the flow of service
• Care for the members of the choir as part of the ministry
• Plan out a practice schedule for once a week based on yours and the choir’s availability
• Find ways to grow the choir both numerically and spiritually

Other Duties

• Partner with the other staff members to plan small groups, services, and churchwide events as needed
• Be willing to teach if called upon
• Work with other churches on the Christmas Cantata and the Associational Spring Sing
• Visit members as needed
• Be an active participant in church communication
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• An active follower of Jesus Christ
• Worship ministry experience
• Ability to work with multiple generations
• Self-motivated
• Able to manage volunteers

Preferred:

• Experience in parachurch ministries
• High level of previous community involvement
• Willingness to serve in other areas
• Prayer warrior
