About Evangelical Chinese Church of Seattle

ECC began as a small group of overseas students and families who met for fellowship on college campuses. Under the leadership of the late Reverend Paul Shen, the church was founded in 1967 with the vision to provide fellowship and witness for the Lord to new Mandarin-speaking Chinese immigrants settling in the Greater Seattle area.

Over the past fifty years, the Lord has blessed us to become a multi-generational, multilingual (Mandarin, Cantonese, and English), and multi-campus church. Additionally, we had planted three other churches, which are located in Tacoma, South King County, and Snohomish County. Seeing the growing ministry needs and strategic position of the North District, we have decided to combine with ECC Snohomish County to jointly develop the ministries in that area using the “One Church Multiple Campuses” model. Our members are from various backgrounds, and our church is not affiliated with any denomination.
