Job Summary, Qualifications, Duties and Responsibilities
The Senior Pastor is responsible for providing leadership to the staff and congregation of Magnolia’s First Baptist Church (M1BC) to function as a New Testament church consistent with God’s Word and the direction of the Holy Spirit. The Senior Pastor will lead in worship and ensure the effective ministries and activities of M1BC through personal Bible study, prayer, biblically sound preaching and teaching, discipleship, and exemplifying Christ-like character. The Senior Pastor will give leadership to the congregation, the ministries and organizations, and the church staff in performing their tasks.

This position became open when our beloved Senior Pastor, Dr. Ed Seay, retired in March after 32 years of faithful service to this church family. Dr. Roger Yancey is our Interim Pastor, and we are so thankful that God has brought him to lead us during this season of our church.
Magnolia, Texas is experiencing considerable population growth, and the Senior Pastor will provide strategic vision for expanding ministries to our community that needs to hear the gospel and be discipled by a loving, caring church family. We are a church for every generation with 1,700 members.

Passionate Worship

Partnership Missions
We value Partnership Missions as our primary means of practicing unselfish service beyond our city and community. We join with others to multiply their efforts throughout the world while leaving a lasting impact that will be continued year round. These
partnerships include physical and financial support of other established local churches, Compassion International, and Tryon Evergreen Baptist Association.
