JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Associate Pastor is a full-time Pastoral position with Calvary Chapel FourteenSix. This position will fulfill a wide range of pastoral duties and oversight of multiple ministries while encouraging and supporting ministry volunteers. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide spiritual care and leadership to the volunteers while managing all aspects of media and public relations for Calvary Chapel FourteenSix.

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Executive Pastor, the Associate Pastor plans, organizes, and implements a comprehensive internal and external communication, community, and church relations program for Calvary Chapel FourteenSix. This relations program is grounded in biblical truth and compassion for everyone. Fosters a cooperative, inclusive, and welcoming working environment for Pastoral staff, volunteers, and the public.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

The Associate Pastor plans, manages, and implements a church-wide strategy for strengthening relations within the community, staff, and volunteers.

• Writes, edits, reviews, and oversees the release of internal communication documents and programs that support the organization.
• Senior and Executive Pastor communications support; including ad-hoc Leadership Team communication support and weekend messaging support.
• Collect relevant information and stories for leadership monthly email updates and weekly email newsletter to church members.
• Support any updates or changes to existing Google sites, websites, & social media

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

The preferred educational requirement is a bachelor’s degree related to ministry.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Self-motivated, well-organized, and flexible.
• Works independently within guidelines and policies.
• Creative problem solver and team player.
• Proficiency with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and google sites.
• Proficient with Planning Center online.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

Salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 depending on experience.
