Principle function: The Youth Pastor will provide leadership and development of both the Youth and Children’s ministries of Grace Bible Church and the surrounding community – making disciples and equipping leaders.
Main Responsibilities:
Youth Ministry – the Well (6th – 12th Grade)
Children’s Ministry – the Greenhouse (Ages 0 – 5th Grade)

Our current worship service is a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs. We have a musically talented congregation and our worship team offers a mix of piano, guitars, bass, keyboard, violins, drums, and vocalists. Our congregation is diverse in age and demographics.
We offer two worship services with the same expository message of God’s truth. Sunday Morning Sunday Schools are offered also at both hours. Dress is generally business casual with some wearing jeans while others prefer wearing suits and dresses. We provide specially designed services for children that are age appropriate during all worship services.
Community:
Columbia is a rapidly growing community of about 126,000. The community is widely diverse as a university city and home of the University of Missouri. We are two hours from both Kansas City and St. Louis.
Major industries are varied but include healthcare, higher education, and insurance. We have several hospitals, including University Hospital, Boone Hospital, and Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital. Other major employers include University of Missouri, Veterans United, State Farm Insurance, and Shelter Insurance.
Our community offers many elementary and secondary options including public schools Rock Bridge, Hickman, Battle, and Columbia Independent. Private high schools include Fr. Tolton Catholic, Christian Fellowship, and Heritage Academy (founded at GBC). We also have a strong home school community with several extracurricular and sports options.
