Who We Are:

Oasis Church at Lakewood is a non-denominational church established in 1979 and located in beautiful Lakewood, Washington on a large 8-acre campus, highly visible to the community.  We are a multigenerational church body, strong in worship with an online streaming presence. We currently have 5 paid staff, (2 full-time and 3 part-time). We have an average attendance of approximately 275 each month.

Who We Are Looking For:

Oasis Church at Lakewood is seeking God’s direction as we search for a Senior Pastor who has a strong walk with Christ and has a clear calling to the pastoral ministry.  A candidate who has the spiritual gift of leadership, is an effective communicator of God’s Word, impeccable character, deep-down biblical humility and who is excited to lead a church to reach its full potential for Christ!

We desire him to have strong pulpit skills in preaching and the ability to communicate the Bible clearly and practically and demonstrate a love and devotion to their church with no sense of ownership or entitlement. He would regularly communicate the overall vision of Oasis and lead the church in accomplishing it. His primary task will include preaching Sunday morning, providing oversight of the staff and offering pastoral care and visitation as needed.  A Seminary degree is preferred, but not required, however, preference will be given to those with a degree.

Minimum qualifications:

1. Should meet all the Biblical qualifications of a pastor set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9.
2. Should be a strong leader who is able to work well with other staff and volunteers.
3. Should be strong in preaching.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Should have a seminary education (master’s or higher)
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience preaching.
3. Should have experience leading a multi-staffed church.
4. Should be strong in vision casting and implementation.
