Who we are:

 For over 50 years Bridgepoint church has been serving Boise and reaching out with the Gospel around the world. Our mission is to, “Love God, love people where they are, and help them follow Jesus”. This statement guides us in everything that we do. It all boils down to Jesus changing our world so that we can change the world around us. Pastor Jeff has served at Bridgepoint for over 40 years. He was the first Youth Pastor, the first Associate Pastor, and only the second Senior Pastor. This longevity has created a lot of stability for the congregation and the staff. 

  Who we are looking for:

 The Youth Pastor will lead a comprehensive and active Youth Ministry at Bridgepoint church for Middle and High school students. This ministry must supplement the discipleship efforts of parents and coordinate with the vision, core values, beliefs, and goals of Bridgepoint Church. Our dream is to have a student ministry that is not siloed off into a corner of the church but to integrate students into the spiritual family at Bridgepoint. This means that the ideal candidate will see their ministry as a part of the whole at Bridgepoint Church. We realize that this ministry is too big for one person to do, and that is why the ideal candidate will have the desire and skills to develop and lead others to pour into the lives of students.

The position in a nutshell:

• Lead as a Pastor, serving not only students but the entire congregation and community.
• Live out a growing relationship with Jesus, one that can be imitated by others ( I Corinthians 11:1)
• Have a passion for High school and Middle school students and the ability to relate to them.
• Have a deep commitment to the authority of Scripture.
• Plan and execute weekly services (Sunday am and Midweek) for High school and Middle school students. This includes teaching the Bible, small groups, games, and social time.
• Develop and execute an annual calendar of ministry opportunities and activities for students.
• Recruit and disciple adult and youth volunteer leaders to care for and love students of Bridgepoint church.
• Help students live out their passion for Christ through serving opportunities, mission trips, etc.
• Serve on Bridgepoint church’s Executive Team of staff members, under the supervision of the Senior Pastor.
• Continually engage and support the parents of students.
• Build relationships in the community with other churches and organizations that could help disciple students.
• Maintain proper practices in his home and be a spiritual leader to his family.
• Provide pastoral care for volunteer leaders under his supervision.
• Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

• In meetings you want the best idea to win, which may or may not be your idea. 
• You can overlook an offense and don't mind admitting you're wrong on occasion. 

Where we live:

 Idaho????? You mean Iowa right??? Nope, we are really a church in Idaho!  The only thing most people know about Idaho is potatoes and a blue football field. Boise is one of the fastest-growing communities in the Northwest. While it may seem like a fly-over state Idaho is truly the gem of the northwest offering 4 seasons, ample outdoor activities, and a wonderful place to set down roots.
