Overview
The primary goal as the Missions and Outreach Coordinator is to fulfill the vision of Evangel Church to be Changed Lives, Changing Communities across the street and around the world. He/She works to cultivate a heart to Live on Mission by creating opportunities for the church to engage in a missional lifestyle that will result in people coming into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. The role will also be responsible for planning and implementing opportunities to raise awareness and support for the varying missionaries and partners.

Key Elements for each of the Major Responsibilities:
Global Missions and Kingdom Builders
Maintain and grow existing partnerships; help discern and identify possible new mission opportunities; and serve as a bridge between the congregation, missionary partners, programs and activities.
Manage the Missions budget of Evangel Church.
Champion and support yearly Kingdom Builders Campaign by coordinating special speakers, events, and regular communications to help cultivate generosity.
Identify and implement ways of increasing awareness of the missionary family to the Evangel body (mission minutes, regional prayer coordinators, updates, missionary face-to-face meetings, etc.).
Promote and coordinate all short term mission’s trips including raising up trip leaders, monitoring the application process and preparing teams to go.
Community Outreach
Identify, understand and meet the needs of our communities by connecting regularly with partners and key leaders in the community.
Mobilize and equip the church for local outreach by planning and implementing varying opportunities and events.
Facilitate and manage local outreach opportunities like: Boxes of Hope, serving the homeless, and pregnancy centers.
Recruit and train leaders to assist and lead local outreaches.
Collaborates with Location Pastors and Coordinators to undertake projects in local communities.
Evangelism
Continually foster a passion for reaching the lost, as part of Evangel’s culture.
Equip the church to live on mission.
Collaborate with the ministry leaders to find creative ways to reach the lost.
Serving our local nursing homes, prisons in order to share the gospel to the lost
Create opportunities for reaching people in the community with the gospel.

Participate in staff and other meetings as needed to discuss direction and provide progress updates.
An ability to work evenings and weekends, as necessary.
Perform your duties with humility, excellence, and a harmonious attitude of cooperation with other staff and Evangel Leaders.
Job Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in leading a ministry or team.
Experience working with overseas mission partners and/or on the mission field is not
required, but is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills for creating processes, scheduling meetings and planning events.
Experience managing budgets
Some college preferred
