About Turning Point Community Church

At Turning Point Community Church, we are consistently growing to become a reflection of heaven. People from every social, ethnic, economic, and generational background gather together in worship. You’ll hear it a lot around here: Everyone matters.

And wherever people are in their journey of spiritual growth, we believe their lives will be changed at Turning Point. That’s what we’re all about. OUR MISSION: Changed lives. Period. You’ll grow. You’ll mature. You’ll experience renewal and personal transformation by the grace of God.

VALUES ARE THE HEARTBEAT BEHIND OUR MISSION. Values light a fire and they keep our collective soul burning. We care about these things. They characterize the “why” behind our missional “what.”

We hold five values dear: MAKING DISCIPLES, a core belief that EVERYONE MATTERS, recognizing the need for a PACE OF GRACE, creating GENERATIONAL IMPACT, and MATURITY MARKED BY MISSION.

We have three services: 8:30,10:00,and11:30. All three services are programmed the same. We program for 60-65 minutes to steward well the turnaround time between services (children areas and parking lot have to be turned over), so we’ve come to value a 60-65 minute window as our best effort to provide a meaningful worship service.

Turning Point has dynamic worship, kids, youth, and adult group ministries to disciple all ages of our church and our community.  There is a great excitment for the explosive growth that is happening at TPCC and the future is very bright.

Turning Point Church is located in Lubbock and is the crossroads of West Texas. Its nickname “the Hub City”  reflects its place of providing people in this region with a metro area. Lubbock is a city of a 300,000+ with all the dining, shopping and entertainment venues that you would expect in DFW,Austin,Houston - but without the traffic!!! Lubbock is also a college town with two universities, home to Texas Tech and Lubbock Christian. Education, agriculture, medical, and energy industries are significant employers.

WestTexas is legendary for friendly folks. No doubt you will experience that while here.

Turning Point has a mix of people that worship with us on Sundays. There are those who have a deep walk with the Lord and have become a part of the core of Turning Point. There is also a significant number of people who are new - new to Christ and/or new to the church. We will also have people who are not yet believers and who are still searching.

We are looking forward to adding new team members to help us continue our mission of Change lives Period.
