The Next Generation Pastor (NGP) will be in charge of Kid's Life and oversee Rooted Youth to achieve the mission of Christian Life Assembly.  Our mission is: Love God. Love People. Love People to God.  They will run these ministries in alignment with the mission and be responsible for setting and achieving specific goals related to successful ministry to families. 

The NGP will create a vision to partner with families in the reaching and discipling of their  children, as well as equipping parents to lead their families into a growing relationship with  Jesus Christ. 

Kid's Life/Rooted-the children's/youth ministries of Christian Life Assembly-provide relevant, age-appropriate learning, and connection opportunities for kids ages birth-high school. During all weekend gatherings, ministry for kids is provided and executed by a large base of volunteers, led by the NGP and his/her team. 

You are: 

• Passionate about sharing Kid's Life/Rooted Youth ministry vision with families in the church and people in the community. 
• An advocate for connecting with parents and equipping them to be the leader of their child's spiritual development 
• A strong communicator who listens well 
• A proven project manager with strong attention to details and administrative skills 
• A team player and team builder who focuses on the good of the entire organization 
• Passionate about introducing people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ 
• Experienced and knowledgeable in leadership (corporate or church environment) 
• Able to deliver relevant, Biblical messages 
• A motivator and inspirer, whether you're sitting with 20 people or standing in front of  1000 
• A hard worker, but not a workaholic, and you love to have fun 
• A self-starter but thrive on a team 
• A humble person
• A person who has high emotional intelligence and knows how to work with people.

The basics: 

• Enjoys building and leading volunteer teams 
• Exceptionally organized with a mind for operations 
• Have an eye for details and the capacity to see the big picture
• Able to inspire and motivate others to serve 

You will: 

• Grow campus attendance by creating and implementing a strategy that draws  families in to the church through the Kid's Life & Rooted Youth Ministries  
• Be involved in the community of Tehachapi
• Minister to the families and aid in connecting what happens on the campus with what happens at home 
• Be a model for those who attend Christian Life Assembly by being an example of  personal integrity, discipleship, and evangelism 
• Lead and administrate Kids Life to develop leaders and volunteers 
• Oversee and participate in Rooted Youth leadership & developing volunteers
• Perform other pastoral care responsibilities - weddings, funerals, baptisms, child  dedications, and coaching/mentoring 

It would rock if you: 

• Are able to have a conversation, plan an event, write an email, teach a life lesson, and smile all at the same time 
• Have a calm face that masks a brain working at warp speeds
• If you naturally leaned towards being more people-oriented than task-oriented
• If you have ministry experience and a ministerial credential/certification
