Position description:  Lead and direct all Kidzone endeavors at Redemption Chapel so that our kids have fun and stay safe while learning about Jesus and His glorious gospel.

• 3-5 years ministry experience preferred
• ability to successfully recruit, schedule and train volunteers
• creativity in developing fun, new, effective ideas
• leadership, vision-casting and delegation
• baptized as a believer by immersion (or will within a year)
• live in Stow or a bordering community within a year

Responsibilities:

• be prompt, prepared and participatory for all ministry appointments and staff meetings
• humbly and cheerfully execute any additional duties as assigned
• oversee and lead with age-appropriate planning and programming for weekend services and all special events involving early childhood through elementary age children.
• be ready to implement and direct all aspects of Kidzone:
  • curriculum (early childhood and elementary)
  • environment (setup / cleanup of facility and resources)
  • worship kidstyle
  • media / production (lighting, audio/video, special effects)
  • resourcing other events with childcare as needed
  • special large events for families 3-4 times a year
• recruit, schedule and train teams of volunteers to accomplish various ministry events that need childcare
• affirm and encourage volunteers – along the way and for special events
• manage weekend ministry check in/out system
• lead and oversee staff members as appropriate
• lead and develop our special needs ministry on Sunday morning
• lead and direct various administrative responsibilities each week
• hold Kidzone to RC standards meeting the goals of fun, safe and Gospel-centered biblical teaching 

Relationships

• reports directly to associate pastor (groups & family)
