Highest Praise Church is a non-denomination, Spirit-filled Christian Church located in Shallotte, NC. We exist to “See Lives Changed and God’s Kingdom Advanced.” Among our community, we are known for having dynamic contemporary worship, powerful preaching of the word, and maintaining a high degree of excellence. Our church family has a deep desire to enter into both powerful and intimate worship experiences.
The worship leader is responsible for providing vision, leadership, development, and direction for his/her ministry team (staff or volunteers) as they pertain to the leadership and direction of Highest Praise Church. This specifically includes, but is not limited to, any process or experience surrounding any worship experience for Highest Praise Church or Southeastern Christian Academy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Follower of Christ
- Cheerful giver and tither to Highest Praise Church
- Have experience leading worship in a Spirit-filled church
- Be able to play and sing skillfully
- Possess Biblical characteristics for leadership
- Have an intimate knowledge of common modern worship tools such as: multitracks, click, in-ear monitors, etc.
- Successful completion of a background check
- Embrace the core philosophy and staff culture
PREFERRED:
- Be able to play an instrument (preferably keyboard)
- Be married
- Have previous experience in full-time ministry
- Have experience with Planning Center
- Have working knowledge of at least one DAW including Ableton, Logic, ProTools, etc.
Specific Duties:
- Embrace and implement the core values of Highest Praise Church amongst the Worship Department
- Responsible for casting and communicating vision and inspiring participation in ministry areas
- Responsible for communicating vision for worship experiences and special services across departments
- Responsible for working closely and cooperatively with media, production, and creative teams in planning services
- Develop a strategy to identify, recruit, train, lead, shepherd, empower, and invest in worship ministry team leaders and members
- Responsible for maintaining high quality worship both in the form of live and post production including post mixing and uploading to social media
- Develop worship experiences that ignite celebration and participation
- Lead weekly worship experiences and rehearsals
- Build a team of additional worship leaders
- Build a team of additional volunteers including vocalists and musicians
- Schedule and oversee all guest worship leaders, musicians, vocalists, and other volunteers as necessary
- Lead occasional worship nights as decided by administration
- Maintain and over see the use, care, and operation of all campus material and locations as related to the worship department
- Responsible to oversee weekly chapel services for Southeastern Christian Academy
- Responsible to oversee the growth and development of the music department of Southeastern Christian Academy
- Lead and over see occasional youth worship service while working closely with the youth pastors
- Work with Associate pastor to oversee budgeting and good stewardship of the worship department
- Dress neatly and professionally in accordance with staff manual
