Worship Director

Job Description:
The Worship Director (WD) is a high capacity ministry leadership position. This role will have oversight over the Worship Department. The WD will work to ensure that the vision for Abundant Life Church is being reached through all worship elements of our
services. The WD will report to the Weekend Services Director and Senior Pastor(s). This role will provide leadership and guidance to all worship staff and volunteer teams.

Experience and skills
- At least three years’ experience in ministry
- Experience in multi-site Church preferred
- Experience leading and directing worship teams
- Proficient in MS Office or Apple iWork and Planning Center Services
- Experience selecting worship songs/worship sets
- Ability to lead worship vocally and with an instrument
- Experience with Ableton a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Contribute visionary and creative leadership to all Worship Ministries in a way that honors God; upholds the church’s mission statement and supports the Senior Pastor’s leadership.
- Develop and ensure that worship sets for all platforms is in alignment with the vision of ALC.
- Collaborate with the Music Director and Weekend Services Director as needed for worship planning.
- Responsible for administrative duties in relation to the execution of Worship including Planning Center Services, collaboration tools, and communication tools.
- Lead the vocal teams of ALC from auditions to scheduling for weekend services.
- Provide team care and training for all vocalists.
- Support creative elements in services as needed
- Lead rehearsals at assigned campus
- Support weddings and funerals if needed
- Assist in coaching stage presence of worship team members for main services
Expectations
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to lead up and/or down through the organization
- Attend all church “All hands on deck” events
- Attend staff meetings as required
- Pastor on-call rotation
- Ability to work as a member of a team
