Primary Roles
- Support the pastoral staff in championing the mission, vision, and values of Grace City
- Serve as a member of Grace City’s Staff Team
- Engage, Disciple, and Pastor students at Grace City (grades 6-12) and their families
- Lead and oversee Grace City’s student ministry
Areas of Responsibility
Each of these areas is to be performed with the support of and in collaboration with the pastoral staff, elder team, and Grace City staff team.
Engage | Serve as the “chief connector” of Grace City students, including welcoming students, collecting contact information, maintaining database (Breeze), and follow up throughout the week. Goal is for every student to feel “noticed, welcomed,
and connected" with other leaders and students. Oversee the planning, preparation, set up, and teardown of GraceCity Student gatherings, creating a “contagiously exciting” space for students to gather andconnect with each other and God.
Disciple | Oversee the spiritual formation and growth of students through a variety ofcontexts, including large and small group gatherings, one-on-one mentoring, events andretreats, and intergenerational relationships.
Pastor | Develop relationships and provide pastoral presence and care for students and families at Grace City and in our local community.
Lead | Recruit, train, develop, pastor, inspire and encourage both adult and student leaders.

Pastoral heart, patient and sincere leader comfortable with both a crowd and with one-on-one conversations and an ability to both pace with and lead students and adults alike.

An eye to the outcasts and those not yet included (whether physically present or in the community), inspiring others to make everyone feel welcome and wanted.
Strong public speaking and written communication skills and a gifted as a leader and teacher to middle school and high school students.
A teachable spirit and enthusiasm for learning and growth.
A storyteller, constantly celebrating what God is doing in the lives of students.
Quick to laugh and have fun! (We believe the message of Jesus is good news and it shouldfeel that way!)
