Job Summary:

Is music your passion? Worshipping God and leading other into His presence your calling? Lakewood Church is interested in filling a Part-Time (15-18 hours / week) Worship Leader position. The ideal person will have strong leadership skills, the heart to lead a worship team during services, attend scheduled staff planning and leadership team meetings, Have experience in music planning, pro presenter and church teams software. Discipling vocalists, and musicians.is our goal.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Works with pastors and others to design a worship experience that draws the congregation into a deeper relationship with Christ.

· Prepares all musical elements for all services, not limited to choosing the songs, downloading videos with lyrics or audio with PowerPoint lyrics for use by the technical teams.

· Recruits and disciples new worship teams and/or members.

· Regularly leads music during our Sunday and Holiday services.

· Leads practices weekly and Sunday morning before services.

· Place all musical elements on the church’s one drive

· Creates worship service plans in Planning Center.

· Assigns all roles for each service in Planning Center, including worship teams, audio, and video technicians.

· Periodically report song usage to CCLI.

· Introduces new worship music regularly.

· Works with A/V teams to ensure technology supports the worship plan.

· Attends weekly staff meetings.

· Develops an annual budget to submit to the Finance Team and manages the approved budget throughout the year.

· Attends Worship Team meetings as scheduled.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Skilled in vocal performance.
• Experience in leading worship, vocalists, and musicians.

§ Proficiency in playing an instrument (preferably Piano or Guitar), with the ability to lead while playing.

§ Thorough knowledge of popular contemporary Christian music.

• Strong sense of calling and identity in Christ.
• Demonstrated leadership in being able to disciple those in their sphere of influence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Experience with Planning Center and ProPresenter preferred, but not required.

Education and Experience Associate or Bachelor’s degree in music helpful or has previous worship experience..
