TECH DIRECTOR basic job description
Own the Sunday Morning experience, including:
Recruit media and tech volunteers. Assist the audio, visual, and photography teams.
Monitor live streaming of video via web and social media for Sunday morning services and archive video for use online. Direct the Sunday Morning live stream as needed.
Review and evaluate policies and procedures for operating audio and video equipment, including making improvements.
Oversee stage lighting and lighting computer programming for worship services and special events.
Monitor and maintain all audio/visual equipment, including projectors and soundboards. Attend worship practices
Assist and troubleshoot technology in the youth and children’s rooms.
Knowledge or ability to learn Planning Center modules, Propresenter 7, Resi, Squarespace, and MagicQ (lighting software).
Open Door is a multi-campus church. There is a new building under construction at one campus that will require some input. Ongoing tech support for this campus.
The ideal candidate would also have musical instrument proficiency and could assist in leading our worship band. We have a worship leader in place. This person would have the additional responsibility of leading the worship band in rehearsals and most Sundays.
