Youth Pastor Job Listing/Description

Miami FL

Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church is looking for a highly motivated Youth and Family Pastor who will carry out the vision of the church which is “Disciples Making Disciples”. This individual will not only make disciples but also help make disciple makers. This individual will help the lead pastor to recruit and equip volunteers, Sunday school teachers, small group leaders, and disciple makers. Our vision is to be a disciple making church. We would like to multiply our adult Sunday School classes, small groups, discipleship courses, as well as our Sunday worship service. Our Youth and Family Pastor will use this vision as the foundation to carry out his ministry. Our mission is founded in Ephesians 4:12–13. As a church, we need to equip the saints. The Youth and Family Pastor will aid and equip families with the Word, strengthen their relationships, and plug the whole family in small groups and activities. Our church is a big family made of more than 15 nationalities. We are also a mostly Spanish/Bilingual church. We would like a Youth and Family Pastor who is missions minded. We would prefer a bilingual Youth and Family Pastor but is not required. However, we would like someone who would be open to the idea of learning the Spanish language, as we think it will help the individual have a deeper impact in our community. We are in a community mostly made by immigrants from all over Latin America. We feel that there is a gap between first- and second-generation immigrants created by language barriers and differences in culture. We would like someone to have the vison to bring the whole family together under the banner of Christ, someone who promotes unity and help strengthen family ties.

About Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church

The Ebenezer Church is a community of believers with more than 50 years of existence in the city of Miami. We are a community made up of families from different countries, thus celebrating the diversity within the unity that comes from our identity as members of the body of Christ. That diversity is also present in our language, we are primarily a Spanish speaking church with a growing English body as well. As a church, our mission is forged at the heart of the Great Commission, allowing the gospel to transform lives on a personal level and, consequently, transform families and the society in which we live.

Ebenezer Church is associated with the Free Will Baptist denomination, a fellowship of evangelical churches that adhere to the Bible as the foundation of faith and practice. The denomination began in 1727, and for nearly 300 years it has contributed to the moral and spiritual fiber of the nation. Bound by belief, praise, and a common mission, nearly 300,000 people from 2,500 congregations in 40 states have voluntarily come together to spread the impact of the gospel around the world.
