CHILDREN’S MINISTRY DIRECTOR
The Awakening Church is a vibrant Christ-center community located in the heart of the beautiful and fast-growing Temecula Valley of Southern California. As part of the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) movement, we are passionate to see people become “Fully Alive in Christ and to His Mission”.
The Children’s Ministry Director oversees the spiritual growth and development of children ages birth through 5th grade. This includes vision casting, curriculum preparation, volunteer recruitment, training, community building and encouragement. The director is responsible for all operational oversight for Sunday morning kids’ services and any special events/outreach.
We are praying for a passionate leader who loves Jesus, loves kids and loves the challenge of building a ministry movement to reach young families. Our desire is to support parents in the spiritual formation of their children and raise up the next generation to forward the kingdom purposes of God. Effective ministry efforts concerning kid’s discipleship, worship, serving opportunities and reaching friends for Christ is of vital importance on the journey … and of course having fun and building lasting friendships along the way!
Ministry and educational expereince is desired, but more important is the ability to inspirationally lead children and compassionately mobilize volunteers. Looking for a self-started who brings a high-level of motivation to make good things happen and model the character and presence of Christ at all times. Giftedness in communication, administration, organization skills and developing connections among people will play an important role, as will the ability to be creative, strategic and evangelistic.
Salary commensurate with hours, experience, and education.
