Senior Pastor of Community Church of Hendersonville
The Need
Community Church of Hendersonville (CCH) is an evangelical, independent, inter-denominational body of believers with a vision to be a relevant, connected people, radically changed by the love of Jesus, impacting our neighbors near and far, with transforming
truth and dynamic compassion. The church includes a 300-400+ congregation along with a substantial online presence and viewership. After being led for over 25 years by its amazing senior pastor, he has graciously informed CCH leadership that he will retire
at the end of April 2023. CCH leadership has begun the search for a new senior pastor to lead this compassion-driven, service-minded body of believers in the heart of Hendersonville, TN, a thriving, fast-growing suburb of Nashville.
Over the past 5 years, CCH leadership has been led to reorganize the church structure and staff in response to the evolving needs of its growing, diverse community – and we stand fully united as we prayerfully seek to fulfill the need for a new senior pastor.
It is noteworthy that CCH has maintained financial stability through the Covid pandemic while the church leadership team exercised a conservative financial plan to place it in a very positive financial position in a post-pandemic world. We believe that God
is calling this individual to champion an incredible season in our history, and to embrace the challenge of leading our church to fulfill its mission: to help every person come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and develop as His disciple!
The Position
Throughout its history, CCH has been an outreach-focused, intergenerational body of believers with diverse denominational backgrounds, deeply committed to spiritual growth, and driven to impact our community through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Therefore,
the new Senior Pastor must not only be passionately committed to sound Biblical teaching, but also willing to serve as an ambassador for the kingdom of Jesus Christ, hungry for evangelizing the lost and broken in our community and beyond.
The Senior Pastor at CCH will be the spiritual face of the church, and be expected to cast the overall vision and direction through his teaching, preaching, and spiritual nurturing of the body and the surrounding community. This individual must exhibit Christ-like
character and values in all aspects of his personal and professional life. He must also have a strong command of scripture with a demonstrated ability to interpret, apply, and communicate the Word on a weekly basis. CCH is committed to finding a leader who
meets the needs identified above, and has the experience, knowledge, and abilities to serve in this capacity.
The Senior Pastor position will report directly to the Shepherds of CCH, a group of mature Christian men who prayerfully lead the church and are responsible for its overall spiritual health and welfare.
Employment package includes competitive salary, family health insurance, vision, short term disability insurance and retirement planning options.
