We often use the term “lead” in areas of responsibility.  We consider leadership to begin with prayerfully seeking the Lord and studying the word of God toward Gospel-Centered understanding and application.  Following, a leader will prepare and refine a vision to then cast to their team and church.  The process of preparing and refining is to be done in cooperation with those in leadership, and particularly working through the process with the lead pastor in order for the church to be consistent in all areas of ministry life.  We value team cooperation, but expect specific discernment and perspective to come from a person in specific leadership responsibility of any area in the church, including this position.  A leader will be a servant leader, but will, as a major focus, do the work of equipping the body to do the work of the ministry.  It is essential that anyone interested in this position would work cooperatively with leadership to flesh out agreement with core doctrine, and identify notable differences in secondary doctrine.
