The Production Director is tasked with overseeing and providing technical expertise for services and special events across GT departments and campuses. This position is responsible for developing and leading a GT staff team, as well as recruiting and developing a volunteer media team. This role will collaborate with the Creative Department to ensure brand consistency across departments and multi-sites with the aim of creating environments that introduce people to Jesus and lead them into a growing relationship with Him. Responsibilities

  • Develop, encourage, and lead the Production Team
  • Prepare and meet regularly with each direct report, engaging in coaching conversations that are life-giving and goal-focused
  • Recruit, train, and lead a media volunteer team for weekend services and special events
  • Develop volunteer coaches that serve as high-level volunteer leaders at all services
  • Function as the spiritual leader for staff and volunteer teams
  • Oversee the production and delivery of recorded services & events, including Sunday services, special events / services, weddings, funerals, etc
  • Working knowledge of video displays, video switchers, audio consoles, and lighting systems
  • Provide central support by collaborating with and assisting kids, students, missions, discipleship, worship and all multi-site locations with audio, video, lighting, and tech
  • Lead recurring scheduled meetings and processes, including detailed planning, resource management, process management, and hands-on contribution in completing tasks and projects

  • Develop and maintain budgets for all media needs
  • Provide oversight to equipment maintenance, purchasing, and installation
  • Plan, execute upgrades, and prepare systems in the rest of the building and across multi-sites

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in live production or related field
  • Proven, experienced team-builder who is passionate about developing and leading both staff and volunteers.
  • An eye for good design and an awareness of current creative, AVL and technological trends
  • Knowledge of proper handling and care of media equipment
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
