Worship Leader/Service Coordinator

New Covenant Christian Church is currently looking for a Worship Pastor. New Covenant Christian Church is a non-denominational church in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Our mission is to be a diverse community transformed by the love of Jesus. Our desire is to help people establish a relationship with Christ and help them move to be disciples of Jesus. We are community minded and believe that church isn’t over when the service ends. 

We have been writing and releasing original worship songs over the last few years and we would like to continue doing that as an expression of who we are. These songs have ministered to thousands in over 20 countries around the world.  We are in need of a Worship leader who will embrace and advance this mission. Worship Responsibilities:

• Lead worship for our weekend services, Celebrate Recovery meetings, and youth ministry events
• Conduct weekly music rehearsals
• Audition and Recruit new members for the worship teams
• Learn new songs and teach these songs to the worship teams
• Help provide musical and spiritual development for worship team members
• Work with pastors and other team members in creative development for worship services and special focuses or events
• Be willing to be involved in community outreaches including opportunities for the worship teams to take part in various community events
• Coordinate the weekend services by planning the order of service
• Be familiar with the operation of the sanctuary A/V equipment or have a general working knowledge and a desire to learn
• Recruit, train and develop volunteer personnel to operate sound, screens, lights, and cameras
• Write, and work with the team to write, songs that are an expression of who we are as a church
• Record original songs
• Help with stage designs/setup
• Develop and oversee the budget for the worship ministry under the supervision of the advisory board

Experience and Education:

• Worship leading experience of some kind is a must
• Past employment on a church team is preferred but not necessary to apply
• No formal education is necessary to apply, but some sort of training would be preferable

Salary and benefits provided: Minimum salary is $45,000. Salary partly based on education and experience. We provide all of our team members with a generous amount of paid time off starting day one.
