Laurel, Maryland is located on Interstate 95 between Baltimore and Washington, D.C. It is home to one of the most diverse populations in the entire United States. The people who make up First Baptist Church Laurel (FBCL) are representative of the diversity found in the community with over 40 nations represented in our resident members. In the early 2000’s, FBCL began to embrace the vision of being a leader in multi-cultural ministry. That vision continues today under the leadership of Pastor Brent Brewer, and a staff committed to seeing the Gospel presented to all nations – both locally and abroad. Pastors and other staff members serve long tenures at FBCL. This is due to a congregation devoted to hearing the voice of God in the calling process, and partnership in ministry once the staff member is called.
