Director of Family Ministries

Description:

The Director of Family Ministries will provide vision, oversight, and shepherding of all children and students ages 0-18. This position is responsible for coordinating the overall ministry to children, students, and their parents. This role will recruit, train, and maintain volunteer leaders, educate and minister to students, and assist and equip parents. This is a full-time position and is available immediately.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this position will be passionate, strategic, and collaborative. He is expected to think strategically about the evangelistic growth of the Children and Student Ministries as a whole, while continually developing adult volunteer leaders and equipping them to build successful relationships with students and their parents. He should be able to walk the line between a strategic visionary and a relationship builder.  There is opportunity, if desired, for this person to become an elder.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with people from diverse cultures
  • Significant experience with team building and team leading (specifically with volunteers)
  • Experience in ministry, education, or a related field
  • Bachelor’s degree Seminary degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years in ministry
  • A proven record of effective leadership and accountability
  • Ability to contextualize with those of diverse backgrounds
  • A shepherd’s heart to serve
  • Ability to connect and build relationships with church leadership
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and electronic
  • Ability to maintain a biblical work/life balance
  • Experience in casting vision, setting goals, and administrating a ministry

Reports to: Executive Director

Status: Full-time, salaried.

Compensation: Salary will be determined by experience and education.
