About this role
New Life Bible Fellowship Church is actively looking for a Youth Pastor who will be responsible for promoting and maintaining the mission of New Life Bible Fellowship Church within our youth ministries, which is to Glorify God, Introduce People to New Life in Christ, and equip believers to grow into mature disciple-makers.
We have a thriving youth ministry and an amazing youth staff of 20 volunteers who are passionate in their desire to help disciple young people. Our students come, primarily, from three surrounding school districts and homeschoolers. We also place a high priority on parents being the primary disciple makers and desire for our Youth Pastor to encourage and partners with parents.
Our youth group currently meets on Thursday nights starting with an open gym time, then transitioning into an evening of worship, bible teaching, and small groups. We believe that students benefit from strong biblical teaching, so we want to continue to make room on Thursday evenings to teach God's Word and then break into small groups to discuss how it can be applied in our daily lives.
Throughout the year we have various events that range from summer camp, winter retreat, leaf raking, childcare, and outreach events (Glow nights, Archery Tag, Game Nights). Our youth are very active in serving our church in our Wednesday night children's programs and Sunday morning worship teams. Several of our youth particiatpe in in both the church and youth group worship bands, and in the last year they have begun to occasionally lead worship themselves on Thursday evenings.
Our church staff also includes:
Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, Pastor of Adult Discipleship, Director of Children’s Ministry, Director of Worship Arts, and five other full and part-time staff members.
Leadership of New Life would feel generally at home in ministry circles such as the Gospel Coalition, Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, IXMarks, the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation, and Crossway. We are currently taking our congregation through one question each week from the New City Catechism. Several of our Sunday classes, including our teen class use Answers in Genesis curriculum.
