Youth Pastor

Creekside is a gorwing church of more than 300 located in Midlothian, TX. Midlothian is on the southern edge of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex and is in one of the fatest growing areas of the state of Texas. Our purpose is "Living Discipleship" in our church and community and we are excited about the many opportunities God has given us to do this. This staff position will be intsturmental in helping us move forward in this journey. We are a loving, vulnerable, authentic group of people who are dedicated to listening to the calling of the Holy Spirit to do whatever the Lord would have us do.

As we follow him into this exciting future we are looking for a like minded individual to join our team to equip parents and teenagers in the goal of living as Christ followers.

Essential Job Functions:  

• Oversight of Student Ministry at Creekside Church in accordance with the mission and vision of Creekside Church and in partenrship with our children's ministry.
• Teaching Biblically centered messages includiing life application 
• Planning and implementation of youth events and trips
• Be a good steward of church resources and budgets
• Be an involved member of the overall Creekside ministry in attendance at elders meetings, worship services, staff meetings and general church life.
• Strategically connect with area schools and community 
• Strategically connect with the families of teenagers and walk along side them in the disipleship process of their teens
• Make connections with area ministers and churches to partner with and suppor them
• Recruit, train and shepard effective volunteers
• prepare and submit budgets, goals and reports as needed.
• participate in onging professional development 
• perform others tasks as required

Qualifications: 

Knowledge of: Biblical teaching and practices ; age appropriate pastoral guidance; current trends and needs of youth; dynamics of interpersonal relationships; methods of budgetary management; priciples of leadership; child safety procedures and process, basic computer and technology.

Ability to: maintain and demonstrate a ove for the Lord as a committed follower of Jesus as well as a personal love for God's word and an active prayer life. Be a team player capable of maintaining and promoting healthy staff relationships; strategically create, organize and incorporate teenagers into the overall life of the church; demonstrate a desire to learn and grow as a leader.
