Direct Report: Family Ministry Pastor
MSTAR Fellowship is an Assemblies of God church in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create weekly service plans for Preschool (toddler room – Kindergarten) and Grade School (1st-5th Grade) using our curriculum
- Incorporate MSTAR Values and beliefs into yearly teaching
- Oversee nursery through 5th Grade ministries
- Plan and run Sunday Morning Services for 3rd - 5th graders
- Oversee the Children’s Ministry Administrator
- Ensure tasks given to Admin are being completed
- Make sure Admin is staying within hourly limit
- Assist Admin with Ministry Events
- Plan and facilitate events for MSTAR Kids
- Periodic events geared towards kids
- Work within Family Ministries to plan Family events
- Maintain social media (Facebook & Instagram) feed
- Partner with Parents to help disciple kids
- Consistent communication with parents
- Newsletter, emails, calls, etc.
- Create/Update MSTAR Kids policies when needed
- Recruit, motivate, develop and provide clear direction for MSTAR Kids staff
- Actively support MSTAR events happening within church
- Oversee planning/scheduling of childcare for church events
- Communication with Family Ministries Team
- Participate in quarterly Family Ministries staff meetings
- Monthly Schedule
- Important team updates
- Treat volunteer staff like family
- Collaborate within Family Ministries for consistency
- Collaboration within MSTAR Staff
- Attend weekly staff meetings
- Participate in yearly all-staff events
- Participate in PennDel Network events
- i.e. : Breakaway, Kids Camp, Family Camp
- Maintain your own spiritual health
- Make sure you are in at least 1 Sunday Morning service at MSTAR per month
- Equip someone on your staff to run MSTAR Kids once a month
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Display spiritual maturity
- Show clear evidence of spiritual maturity and the Fruits of The Spirit
- Be committed to the vision, values and beliefs of MSTAR
- Experience with teaching kids
- Kids ministry or classroom
- Skilled in effective leadership, administration, encouragement and development
- Skilled in vision casting, planning and appropriate delegation
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Familiarity with Planning Center is a plus
