In Brief: Ignite Church is passionate about starting small to medium-sized (100-400), high-impact churches and campuses around Peoria and central Illinois that reach people with the Gospel of Jesus. The role of the planting pastor is critical in the fulfillment of this vision to see the region saturated for Christ, passionate Christ-followers raised up, and deploying leaders/disciple-makers into the Harvest fields. Planting Pastors are responsible for the oversight, local leadership, and implementation of the vision, systems, teams, finances, services, teaching, and operations of their local campus. Additionally, they will work with the Lead Pastor of Ignite (as well as other staff and elders) to decide high-level directional issues such as vision, policy, financial oversight, broader movement decisions, etc. Below is a snapshot of the responsibilities and expectations.

Expectations:
Ignite is a young, modern church in Peoria, IL started to help people connect (or reconnect) with God and discover the life that they were created to live. It is our desire to ignite a passion for Jesus in this region by starting high-impact churches that are effective in reaching scores of people and developing contagious disciple-makers.
Church History
Ignite Church launched in the fall of 2013 in downtown Peoria with a passion to reach our city and region by starting
mid-sized high-impact churches and campuses that are effective in reaching people for Jesus. On our 2nd anniversary,
we launched our first daughter church in Sunnyland/Washington about 5 miles east of our downtown campus which
spun off to its own self-sustaining church in 2018. While it was sacrificial for a new/small church to launch another at
such a young age, it really solidified the vision of reproducing churches as a part of our DNA. Our War Memorial campus
has continued to grow and reach many (we just moved into our new facility in 2021 and continue to grow). In 2018 we were given a building and a parsonage on 5 acres of land in Bartonville (about 5 miles west of our Peoria campus) and after much prayer, we've decided to launch a new campus there. We really believe this is the next step that God is asking us to take to start a new campus there in 2022.
Our Mission as a church is about helping people do 3 things:
• Discover: Helping those around us discover new life in Christ as they meet and eventually put their faith in Jesus.
• Develop: Develop disciples who live out their faith, who live His mission, who Love Him and those around them,
and who walk in His Spirit.
• Deploy: Send passionate followers of Jesus back out to live for Him and impact their world for Christ.
